Just a little "Teaser"

It is now less than a week till the 1st Vintage Fashion Show in Virginia.  There are lots of preparations still under way for the big show, but I thought you might like to have a little "Hint" of some of the coming attractions.

While I don't have a complete breakdown from the show, I do have a partial description of several items.  So here goes:

There are a total of 34 outfits in the show, ranging from the 1940's forward.  There are at least two RED hats in the show for all you Red Hat Society Ladies.  There is a WWII sailor top and hat that looks great with jeans.  Several of the dresses in the show are designer dresses.   I know of a Millers of Knoxville TN, a Nanette Lepore, and a Karen Miller from NY to name a few.  There will be a "gown" section, a "black and white" section, and a "glamorous" section.

I see several umbrellas, a pair of opera glasses, pearls, crystals, Lucite, rings, and even an Eisenberg Ice pin.  All that plus gloves, purses, hats, necklaces, earring, bracelets, well you get the idea.

Be sure to come for the early shopping that starts at 11:00 and then the show will begin at 12:00.  Look forward to seeing you there.

Lots and Lots of BLING!!!!

Everyone knows that accessories make an outfit; belts, purses, shoes, and just the right jewelry.  You can take a plain top or dress and make it spectacular with the right accessory choices.  Take these necklaces for example:

Both necklaces make a statement - Spring...

They are both signed Hong Kong and are very delicate and extremely feminine.

What if you like the Art Deco period?  They have some of the most gorgeous necklaces there are, a little harder to find and a little more costly but worth the extra effort.

I definitely am not a professional photographer and these pictures do not do these necklaces justice.  The blues are cobalt and the pink crystals send off sparkles in every direction.  Not your everyday run of the mill jewelry but truly something that is unique.

You will stand out in a crowd with either of these demi parures.  Beautiful tones of brown, cream, and yellows that shine and sparkle at every turn.  The set on the left is signed West Germany and the one on the right is signed Vogue.  There are many designers of vintage jewelry; Vendome, Weiss, Eisenburg, Julianna, Alice Caviness, I could go on and on.

So if you want to wear quality made and beautiful accessories be sure and attend the Vintage Fashion Show this June in Virginia.
